At Surescanstudio, we are delighted to offer expectant mums the early pregnancy scans, gender scan and 3D/4D scans.
We are taking bookings for Saturdays / Bank Holidays and two evenings per week. We aim to provide a flexible service to work around peoples work and home commitments, so do not hesitate to contact us and we will facilitate you at other times if required.

The early pregnancy scan can be performed from 7 weeks, but ideally from 8 weeks of pregnancy until 14 weeks of pregnancy. The early pregnancy scan takes approximately 20 minutes. Our experienced Sonographer will check for a heartbeat (which is the best indicator of a healthy baby at this stage),will measure the baby and confirm your expected due date, and check for number of babies. At 8 weeks, the baby is still very small and shaped like a bean/peanut, whereas by 11/12 weeks gestation, the arms, legs and head are more visible on the scan. Clients will receive several 2D black and white prints of the scan.

At Surescanstudio, we perform gender scans from 20 weeks of pregnancy. The gender scan takes approximately 20 minutes. As long as baby is in a good position, it usually only takes a few minutes to check the sex, so you spend the rest of the scan having a good look at baby in either 2D or 3D ultrasound, whichever you prefer. Clients will receive several prints of the scan to take home with them. If the baby is not in a good position to assess the gender, the Sonographer will ask you to come back for a repeat appointment to recheck the sex again at no extra charge.
The 3D/4D ultrasound scan can provide a wonderful bonding experience for parents and families in our Surescanstudio, being able to see and record your baby smiling, yawning, sucking it’s thumb and moving around in real time. The 3D/4D scan is ideally performed between 24 and 30 weeks of pregnancy, you may also check the gender if you wish, but there is no problem if you would prefer that the sonographer kept it a secret! Clients will receive a USB stick and send the images to your phone so you can save and print 3D copies of the scan. You are welcome to bring two guest to your 3D/4D scan, and the ultrasound session will be projected onto a flat screen TV for everyone to enjoy!
